WASHINGTON May 29. 2024 (Saba) - A senior official in the US State Department submitted her resignation due to her opposition to a report prepared by the US government, which claimed that the Zionist entity does not obstruct the arrival of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
According to the American newspaper "The Washington Post", the official who submitted her resignation is called "Stacey Gilbert" and works in the Office of Population, Refugees and Migration of the Ministry of State.
Yesterday, Tuesday, Gilbert sent an email to employees at the State Department, in which she explained her view that the State Department was wrong in concluding that the occupying entity did not obstruct humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The newspaper said: The reason for the resignation is “unusual,” because it refers to an internal dispute over a controversial report that the Biden administration relied on to justify the continued sending of billions of dollars in weapons to the occupying entity.
