SANA'A May 20. 2024 (Saba) - The Leader of the Revolution, Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, sent a cable of condolences on the martyrdom of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian and a number of officials in the crash of their helicopter in the northwest of the country.
It reads as follows:
Allah Almighty said in the Holy Quran : And if you are killed in the cause of Allah or die - then forgiveness from Allah and mercy are better than whatever they accumulate [in this world].
It is with great regret and sorrow that we have received the news of the unfortunate incident of the President of the Islamic Republic, Mr. Ebrahim Raisi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Amir Abdollahian, and their companions, may God have mercy on them.
In the face of this great loss, we extend our condolences and sympathy to all their relatives and to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Sayyid Ali Al-Husseini Khamenei, may God protect him, and to all officials of the Islamic Republic and to the Muslim Iranian people.
