HAJJAH May 17. 2024 (Saba) - The branch of the Humanitarian Affairs Council in Hajjah Province concluded the livelihoods program in the field of distributing sheep livestock and fodder in Abs and Kaaidna districts.
The five-day program aimed to train 60 participants in Abs and 45 in Kaaidna on livestock rearing as part of a project to provide protection services , integrated health , food services in emergency situations to the most vulnerable and displaced people.
The program, which was implemented in partnership with INTERSOS and funded by the Humanitarian Fund, included the distribution of five heads of sheep to each beneficiary.
In conclusion, the director of the council branch, Allan, urged the trainees to make optimal use of livestock to improve the living conditions of their families.
Meanwhile, animal health specialist at the Agriculture Office, Fares Al-Ayani, and Raji Mahawish, director of the protection project at INTERSOS, pointed out the importance of the program in enabling the beneficiaries to become self-reliant.
