SANA'A May 13. 2024 (Saba) - The Ministry of Industry and Trade on Monday announced the launch of trademark renewal services and agencies through the Ministry’s electronic portal, in addition to the previous services provided through the portal.
This came during a meeting chaired by Minister of Industry in the caretaker government Mohammed al-Mutahar to discuss the ongoing operations to develop and modernize the ministry’s electronic portal.
During the meeting, undersecretary for the Business Services Sector Abdelfattah al-Thuwaid presented a report on the ongoing efforts to develop and expand the electronic portal services.
Al-Mutahar praised the great success of the Ministry's electronic portal and the response of the private sector in dealing through it in a great way, confirming that it meets the aspirations and needs of the private sector and overcomes the difficulties they face.
The minister praised the efforts of the Ministry's technical team, which is working to develop and expand the electronic portal services and accommodate the comments and requirements of the private sector.
He stressed that the portal operates today according to the highest technical standards and enjoys great ease and flexibility that enables anyone to complete their transactions with great ease and speed.
Minister al-Mutahar stressed the necessity of completing the processes of expanding services through the electronic portal, and launching the services that are being worked on according to the established timetable, leading to the automation of all processes within the ministry and the transition from manual work to electronic and digital work within the framework of plans to improve the business environment and improve indicators of the investment climate in the country.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Industry Ahmed al-Shawtari stressed that the electronic portal is one of the most important achievements of the ministry due to its importance in eliminating many imbalances, pointing to the importance of the ministry’s development plans keeping pace with this qualitative shift.
