WASHINGTON May 09. 2024 (Saba) - A Russian win in the Ukrainian conflict would cost Washington a high price, the US defense secretary said on Wednesday, noting that Moscow would not stop there (in Ukraine), a claim often denied by Kremlin.

There is no cogent reason to believe that bolder Putin would stop at Ukraine, which would mean unimaginable, high costs for the United State, Lloyd Austin added at hearing for Senate provision committee, according to Novosti.

The price of Washington's current support for Ukraine remains by far less than that of abandoning Kyiv, he added, as the matter is not related only to Ukraine's existence, but also to the US security.
