GAZA May 09. 2024 (Saba) - Member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Izzat al-Rishq, confirmed that the Zionist enemy entity is not serious about reaching an agreement, and is using the negotiations as a cover to invade Rafah and occupy the crossing.
Al-Rishq indicated in a press statement that Netanyahu is trying to create pretexts to evade the negotiations, and blames Hamas and the mediators.
He pointed out that Hamas's approval of the mediators' proposal confused Netanyahu and put him in a dilemma, noting that Hamas is sticking to its position that it informed the mediators of approving their ceasefire proposal.
It is noteworthy that Hamas movement announced its approval of the mediators’ proposal for a truce, but the Zionist enemy disavowed its approval and launched a ground attack on Rafah, while the parties are conducting “last chance” negotiations in Cairo, amid Zionist procrastination.
