SA'ADA May 08. 2024 (Saba) - Member of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed al-Houthi on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for three electricity projects in the province center and the districts of Majz and Saqin.
The projects are funded by the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and its affiliates authorities at a total cost of more than two billion and 450 million Y.R in conjunction with the anniversary of al-Sarkha in the face of the arrogant for the year 1445 AH
The projects include "the construction and rehabilitation of the electrical network for the suburbs of Sa'ada city at a cost of 954 million Y.R, the first phase of the main and branch street lighting project in Dhahyan City at a total cost of 10 million Y.R, the establishment of a one-megawatt hybrid Generating Station at an estimated cost of 200 million and 728 thousand Y.R, and the establishment of a distribution network of Saqin district at an estimated cost of one billion and 500 million Yemeni Y.R.
Al-Houthi along with Minister of Electricity Mohammed al-Bukhaiti and Sa'ada governor Mohamed Awad listened to an explanation from the director of electricity of the province about the components of the projects for which the foundation stone has been laid, and their role in supplying the province with electricity to alleviate the suffering of citizens in light of the ongoing aggression and siege and the destruction of electrical installations and stations during the past nine years.
Al-Houthi considered the laying of the foundation stone for these projects in the field of electricity as one of the fruits of the September 21 revolution and a victory for the development front and its successes on various service tracks, reflecting at the same time the determination and will of the Yemeni people. The Yemeni people are determined to continue the march of construction and development and face the challenges of the aggression coalition.
He praised the efforts of the leadership of Sa'ada province in implementing service projects that serve citizens and contribute to alleviating their suffering in light of the ongoing aggression and siege.
Meanwhile, the minister of electricity and energy in the caretaker government al-Bukhaiti pointed to the importance of laying the foundation stone for electrical projects in Sa'ada in translation of the directives of the leader of the revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and the President of the Supreme Political Council in improving electricity services.
Al-Bukhaiti confirmed that work will begin on Saqin district electricity project in the coming weeks, pointing out that the project includes transformers, cables, network, poles, the station, which is an electric generator and a solar energy system.
He stated that the project comes within the framework of the plan of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and its affiliated bodies for the year 1446 AH.
Al-Bukhaiti directed the leadership of the Rural Electricity Authority and the Electrical Industry Corporation to work on completing the project as soon as possible, and the Haydan district project has also been completed.
