SANA'A May 08. 2024 (Saba) - Researcher Muhammad Ahmed Al-Tarjami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism for the Tourism Development Sector, obtained a master’s degree with distinction in public administration from Sana’a University for his thesis titled “The Role of Strategic Leadership in Crisis Management at the Ministry of Tourism in the Republic of Yemen.” .
The discussion and judging committee, headed by Dr. Adel Al-Sharabi, and supervised by Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Junaid from Sana’a University, praised the content of the study, which aimed to know the reality of tourism crisis management, and the role of strategic leadership in that.
The study recommended the necessity of updating policies and legislation related to tourism, preparing an urgent plan for the recovery phase of the tourism sector, as well as paying attention to developing the capabilities of leaders in the Ministry of Tourism and paying attention to managing tourism crises with a scientific methodology.
The discussion was attended by Deputy Minister of Public Works and Roads, Engineer Muhammad Al-Dhari, and a number of leaders from the Ministry of Tourism, the Tourism Promotion Council, and academics.
