RAMALLAH May 08. 2024 (Saba) - The profits of Americana International Restaurants Company declined by 52% during the first quarter of 2024 to $28 million, compared to $58.1 million in the corresponding period of 2023.
This decline comes due to a major boycott campaign faced by the company’s restaurants and other companies since the outbreak of the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip as a result of the occupying state’s support and expansion of its investments in it.
The company stated today that its revenues declined during the first quarter of 2024 by 16.3% to $493.5 million, compared to revenues of $589.4 million on an annual basis.
Under the Americana Restaurants, there are restaurants, most notably KFC, Hardee's, Pizza Hut, Krispy Kreme and TGI Fridays, and it recently added Pete's Coffee, along with Wimpy and Chicken Tikka.
Americana Restaurants is the largest restaurant operator in the Middle East, North Africa and Kazakhstan region, in terms of the number of restaurants in the countries in which it operates, and similar companies, including Starbucks, announced significant losses as a result of the boycott campaign.
