TEHRAN May 06. 2024 (Saba) - Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has said that the handling of students in the West is "regrettable," commenting on the suppression of the student movement in the past two weeks in the United States and several European countries, which came out in support of occupied Palestine and denouncing the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Iranian news agencies quoted Raisi as saying during a cabinet session: "Western countries that claim to respect human rights are today committing catastrophic tragedies by violating the sanctity of universities, freedom of expression and human rights."
He noted that the true face of the West has been exposed through these events.
Raisi noted that the steadfastness of students in the West against the actions of the United States and Israel "will certainly create deterrence."
