HANOI May 2. 2024 (Saba) - At least five people were killed today, in a huge explosion that rocked a timber manufacturing company in the southern province of Dong Nai.
According to the Vietnamese news agency, the accident occurred at 8:30 a.m. local time in the province's Vinh Qu district and is suspected of being caused by a boiler malfunction.
More than a dozen people were injured in the blast, including five dead.
As of ten o'clock in the morning, the regional general hospital had received five victims, one of whom was in critical condition.
Hospital sources said the hospital had mobilized all its staff to rescue the wounded due to multiple injuries. The incident is under further investigation.
