TEHRAN May 01. 2024 (Saba) - The revolution leader and the Islamic Republic of Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, stressed that Gaza today is the world's number one issue.
He stressed that the Zionist enemy and its protectors, the Americans and Europeans, cannot keep the issue of Gaza away from the concerns of international public opinion, "no matter what they do."
According to Iranian news agencies, Sayyed Khamenei, speaking Wednesday to a gathering of teachers, highlighted the movement in American, European and Australian universities.
He stressed that people "have become sensitive to Gaza."
Mr. Khamenei stressed that American university students did not carry out any act of sabotage, did not shout offensive slogans, did not kill anyone, did not burn places, did not smash glass, but were met with this treatment by the US authorities.
He pointed out that the way the Americans dealt with the Gaza issue reflected the right of the Iranian position not to trust the United States, which "proved to be an accomplice to the crimes committed by the Zionists."
Sayyed Khamenei called for intensifying pressure day after day on the Zionist enemy entity, which continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip for about seven months.
Sayyed Khamenei also stressed that the Palestinian cause can only be solved by the return of Palestine to its owners.
He said that Palestine belongs to the Palestinian people with all its religious components.
He went on to say that the components of the Palestinian people are the ones who shape their system and state, and they decide their fate and the way they "deal with the Zionists."
Otherwise, the problem of West Asia will not be solved.
Sayyed Khamenei also stressed that it is wrong for some to believe that by forcing regional countries to normalize their relations with the Zionist entity, they will resolve the conflict.
He stressed that the efforts of some to keep the Zionist entity "alive" for 20 or 30 years will not succeed and will not solve the crisis.
