BAGHDAD April 24. 2024 (Saba) - The Iraqi ministry of culture and tourism has received thousands of archeological pieces from inside and outside the country, official in the ministry said on Wednesday.

Last year, the ministry recovered 39 handiworks from inside Iraq, Azhar Sabri added, as 10 pieces and 50 boxes (each includes a group of pieces) came from the United Kingdom, as well as over 15,000 pieces and some 10,000 species were restored from abroad.

145 archeological sites and a number of significant pieces were newly discovered, including a mini statue of Miss Warka'a, she added.
