WASHINGTON April 24. 2024 (Saba) - The US Senate approved on Wednesday morning $14.6 billion military aid package to Israel after long months of negotiations with 79 members in favor and 18 against, Israeli media reported.

Israel's Channel Seven reported that of the $26 billion, $14.6 billion in aid was earmarked for military aid, including weapons, and $4 billion for Iron Dome interceptor systems.

$9 billion is earmarked for the delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza, and $2.4 billion is budgeted for military aid to the U.S. military and its forces stationed in the area that have come under fire in defense of Israel.

The adopted law also includes more than $60 billion for Ukraine and more aid to Taiwan worth more than $95 billion.
