TEHRAN April 19. 2024 (Saba) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the irresponsible and unconstructive vote of the United States of America against the draft resolution granting Palestine full membership in the United Nations.
Kanaani said in a statement on Friday: “This action taken by Washington revealed the fraudulent nature of American foreign policy and the isolation of this country’s position towards the international community more than ever before in front of world public opinion.”
He added: The unilateral and unlimited support provided by the American regime to the Zionist entity in the political, economic, military and international fields at the expense of the American people and at the expense of regional and international security has led to America losing its role and credibility before global public opinion and has proven that it is a non-neutral and irresponsible party in the global community.
In his statement, Kanaani stressed the legitimate and undeniable right of the Palestinians to establish their independent state with Holy Al-Quds as its capital on the entire land of historic Palestine from the sea to the river.
Kanaani concluded his statement by saying: The Islamic Republic of Iran believes in the will of the resistant and heroic Palestinians, which will ultimately defeat its enemies, led by the racist, criminal Zionist entity.
On Thursday, America used its veto in the UN Security Council to prevent the State of Palestine from obtaining full membership in the United Nations, after it had previously used it dozens of times to protect the Zionist entity and give it the green light to continue committing its brutal crimes against the Palestinians.
