SA'ADA April 18. 2024 (Saba) - Upgrade Yemen Group for Agricultural Development announced the distribution of its dividends for the past years to shareholders, and the opening of the Irtiqa water factory.
During the dividend distribution ceremony held on Thursday in Sa'ada Governorate in the presence of the scholar Ahmed Al-Hadi, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation - Deputy Chairman of the Higher Agricultural and Fisheries Committee, Dr. Radwan Al-Rubai, stressed that the distribution of the profits of Al-Iqtiqa Group to shareholders is one of the fruits of the September 21 revolution.
He pointed to the importance of such successful projects to contribute to the revival of the cooperative and agricultural aspect and economic and investment activity to bring about a real renaissance in various fields.
In the ceremony, which was attended by the Undersecretaries of the Ministry of Agriculture for the Agricultural Services Sector, Dhaifallah Shamlan, Saada Governorate Hassan Al-Marrani, and the Public Authority for Environmental Protection Abed Tawoos, Dr. Al-Rubai pointed out that the Al-Irtiqa Group project is one of the successful projects that will help build the national economy in light of the aggression and blockade. He pointed out that this project existed during the aggression and is still and will continue to be successful despite the difficult circumstances.
"Today we are facing great changes, and our work must keep pace with the aspirations of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council, which requires everyone to adopt the Quranic methodology as a basis for launching towards development and launching in the fields of work," he said.
The quartet considered commitment to the directives of the leader of the revolution, Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the main key to achieving real development in various fields.
He urged agricultural cooperative societies in various directorates to benefit from the Yemen Development Group as a successful model for participatory projects that help promote the economy and address the problem of poverty and many obstacles facing agricultural development.
For his part, the Director of Al-Iqtiqa Group, Hamza Al-Dhafari, stressed that the group was able, over the six years of its establishment under the aggression and blockade, to turn challenges into opportunities. He pointed out that the prominent role of the martyr President Saleh Ali Al-Samad in supporting the implementation of the idea of the project.
The project has worked to market farmers' products over the past six years worth billions of dollars, as well as supporting farmers with agricultural supplies and services, he said.
He announced the disbursement of dividends to shareholders of 30 percent of the capital in the amount of 331 million riyals. He pointed out that a number of projects belonging to the group are under implementation.
