GAZA April 01. 2024 (Saba) - The government media office in Gaza announced last night, the martyrdom of journalist Abdel Wahab Awni Abu Aoun in a Zionist bombing, bringing the death toll of Palestinian journalists to 137 since the start of the aggression against Gaza Strip on October 7th.

The office said, in a statement: “The number of journalist martyrs has risen to 137 journalists, since the beginning of the genocidal war on Gaza Strip, after the ascension of our fellow journalist, martyr Abdel Wahab Awni Abu Aoun.”

It explained that Abu Aoun, a photojournalist, was martyred in a Zionist bombing of their house in Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip.

On March 24, the government media office announced the death of three Palestinian journalists, raising the toll at that time to 136.
