MOSCOW March 31. 2024 (Saba) - Russian forces on Saturday bombed Martinovsky military airport in Ukraine's southern Nikolaev province, according to the agency "Novosti", citing local sources.
The agency quoted the local coordinator as saying that "at 13:50, Russian forces carried out strikes on the Martinovsky military airport in the Nikolaev region," noting that the strikes were carried out after overflight activity at the airport.
He explained that after a military plane took off from the airport and then landed, a missile was fired towards it, and the extent of the damage is not yet clear but smoke is still rising from the airport.
Another attack reportedly took place at 12:20 on a military unit located in the direction of the "Bog Heights" near the Voznisensk region, and smoke subsequently rose in three places.
The same source said that the strike targeted a group of forces, ambulances rushed and sirens were heard in this direction, stressing "the destruction of heavy equipment, which are Western models."
