PYONGYANG March 05. 2024 (Saba) - North Korea has strongly condemned the "reckless" military drills launched by the United States and South Korea this week in a clear threat to Pyongyang's stability and security, demanding that they stop these frenzied military maneuvers and activities.
The spokesman for the DPRK Ministry of National Defense said in a statement published by the Central News Agency today “Washington and Seoul once again launched large-scale joint provocative military exercises to escalate the unpredictability of events in the armistice zone. The exercises included a plan for mobile external training in which weak people participated.” The number of forces was higher than last year, and armed forces from 11 countries were mobilized without any justification for their presence.”
The Korean spokesman added Pyongyang strongly condemns these reckless maneuvers, which no longer hide the fact that they threaten the DPRK, the sovereign state, and are trying to invade it, directing a strong warning to Washington and Seoul to stop these provocative practices and threaten the stability of the region.
He stressed that these hectic war maneuvers conducted by South Korea's "puppets" and its forces led by the United States clearly contradict the reality of the Democratic Republic of Korea mobilizing its forces to contribute to building its economy and enhancing the well-being of its people, which proves more clearly who is the criminal and the greatest enemy threatening Humanity.
The spokesman said “Our forces, for their part, will continue to monitor these actions carried out by the enemies and will take responsible military measures to ensure strong control over the unstable security situation in the Korean Peninsula region, and Washington and Seoul must know that they will pay a heavy price for their wrong choices.”
