NEW YORK March 01. 2024 (Saba) - United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has condemned the Zionist enemy's killing of Palestinians waiting for aid, which led to the death of more than 100 people and the injury of more than 700 others.
This came at a press conference held by UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric, last night.
"The Secretary-General condemns the incident in northern Gaza that resulted in the (martyrdom) of more than 100 people while seeking life-saving assistance,"
Dujarric said. Dujarric reiterated Guterres' call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza.
"Hostilities and other challenges continue to hamper our efforts to reach Gaza and provide life-saving health and food care."
Dujarric said the UN was aware of deaths from drought and malnutrition in Gaza and urged a thorough investigation.
On Thursday, the Zionist enemy forces opened fire towards a gathering of Palestinians who were waiting for the arrival of trucks carrying aid in the area of "Al-Nabulsi roundabout" south of Gaza City, killing 112 Palestinians, wounding 760 others.
