SANA'A February 27.2024 (Saba) - The Services and Social Solidarity Sector held today,Tuesday, a meeting at Works Ministry , headed by the caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for the Services and Development Sector, Dr. Hussein Maqbouli.
The meeting, which included the advisor to the President of the Supreme Political Council, Allama Muhammad Muftah, the Minister of Works in the caretaker government, Ghaleb Mutlaq, the Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Abdulraqeeb Al-Sharmani, and the Deputy Director of the Presidential Office, Fahd Al-Ezzi, discussed topics related to specific and development projects, the most important of which is the National Strategy Project for Economic Empowerment and absorbing the potential of microfinance.
The meeting, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Works Engineer Muhammad Al-Dhari and a number of officials from agencies affiliated with the services and solidarity sector, reviewed the charity programs that will be implemented during the holy month of Ramadan.
The results reached by the technical committee formed by the Ministries of Water and Environment and the Ministries of Electricity and Energy were discussed to calculate the lowest possible cost for the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation and to treat them as major consumers at the General Electricity Corporation.
The meeting touched on the partnership agreement with Al-Amal Bank for Economic Empowerment with regard to addressing the phenomenon of begging, in addition to reviewing the level of implementation, achievement and difficulties facing the Bajil District Model Plan projects in Hodeida.
The meeting also reviewed the report of the committee in charge of the level of implementation and completion of the evaluation of the Red Crescent building, the “Shelter Center for the Displaced,” maintenance work, and some repairs to the building.
