BEIJING February 22. 2024 (Saba) -Beijing condemns the US delegation's trip to Taiwan as interference in the country's affairs, spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry said on Thursday, after three US parliamentarians arrived in the self-ruled island.
China always strictly opposes any form of official interchange between the US and Taiwan authorities, and any form of US interference in Taiwan affairs under any pretext, Mao Ning added at a press conference.
Beijing urges Washington to recognize the complexity and sensitivity of Taiwan issue, to be committed to the 'One-China' principle, and to stop official interchange with Taiwan, she told reporters.
