IBB February 22. 2024 (Saba) - Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance Dr. Rashid Abboud Abu Luhum and Governor of Ibb Abdul Wahed Salah inaugurated on Thursday the progress of work on the maintenance and rehabilitation project of Street 24 in Al-Sabil area in the governorate center, which is implemented by the Executive Unit for the construction and maintenance of roads and public places under the supervision of the Works Office.
During the visit, they were briefed on the implementation of the asphalt works currently being implemented with a thickness of two centimeters, as well as the implemented and remaining works in the project, which is one kilometer long and 400 meters wide and 13 meters wide at a cost of 80 million and 427 thousand riyals with local funding.
Dr. Abu Luhum and Salah listened to the Director of the Executive Unit for Road Construction, Eng. Khaled Al-Salahi, to an explanation about the project and the completion rate, which amounted to 75 percent.
During the visit, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance praised the level of implementation of the project to serve citizens in the province. He urged the executing authorities to speed up the completion of the project in accordance with the technical and engineering specifications in accordance with the contract concluded for its implementation.
He pointed to the keenness of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to implement service projects that meet the needs of citizens, especially in light of the current conditions the country is going through.
