SANA'A February 21. 2024 (Saba) - The caretaker Minister of Human Rights, Ali Hussein Al-Dailami, discussed today,Wednesday, with the Director of the United Nature and International Peace Organization, Khaled Al-Junaid, aspects of cooperation between the ministry and the organization and the exchange of information and experiences in implementing joint initiatives.
The meeting reviewed ways to promote human rights in the environmental sector and the impact of human activities on the environment, including pollution, climate change, exploitation of natural resources, and the challenges facing the displaced with regard to housing and aid.
The meeting touched on human rights issues related to migrants and refugees, especially legal protection, access to basic services, and resettlement.
In the meeting, Minister Al-Dailami pointed out the importance of awareness and education on human rights and the environment.
The meeting was attended by the ministry’s children and women’s officials, Mona Al-Yana’i, immigrants, the displaced Afrah Al-Humairi, and the disabled and people with special needs, Asma Sari.
