NEW YORK Jan 13. 2024 (Saba) - Iran's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Headquarters in New York, Amir Saeed Iravani, stated that "the Ansar Allah movement in Yemen has the strength necessary to defend its people and its country."
"Iravani" said in a statement to the American magazine Newsweek, today, Saturday: "If the resistance of Iraq and Lebanon is made up of the governments of the two countries, and their decisions are subject to the considerations of the two governments, then Ansar Allah itself is an independent government that enjoys national sovereignty and the highest popular base in Yemen."
He added: The United States and Britain's attack on Yemen is a violation of national sovereignty, a violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a declaration of war on this country.
The Iranian ambassador to the United Nations confirmed that the Zionist enemy entity was able to force the American administration to directly intervene in the war on Gaza. This is through the pressure mechanisms it exerts in America.
Iravani concluded his statement by saying: We consider the arms embargo imposed on Yemen unjust and unjust, and similar to a case of “tying stones and releasing dogs.” Despite our reservations about the fairness of this resolution, we recognize our responsibility as a conscious member state of the United Nations and abide by its provisions.
