HODEIDA December 04. 2023 (Saba)-A meeting at Hodeida port, headed today ,Monday, by the Caretaker Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durrah, discussed aspects of cooperation and coordination between the Red Sea Ports Corporation, the Central Organization for Control ,Accounting, and the authorities working in the port to improve the quality of work and services.
The meeting, which included the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Red Sea Ports Corporation, Marine Engineer Yasser Muhammad, his deputy Zaid Al-Washli, the Undersecretary of the Branch of the Central Organization for Control and Accounting, Mahmoud Jahaf, the directors of Hodeida Port Customs, Abdullah Habib, the Standards and Metrology Authority, Khalil Al-Jawfi, and the Land Transport Authority, Ahmed Abdul Karim, reviewed the necessary procedures to develop the work improving performance and accelerating inspection procedures for goods arriving at Hodeida Port.
At the meeting, Minister Al-Durra praised the efforts of all parties working in the port, as well as the Central Agency branch, in overcoming difficulties and challenges, stressing the importance of everyone’s combined efforts to facilitate and simplify procedures for merchants and importers.
After that, Al-Durra, the Undersecretary of the Central Agency Branch, and the leadership of the Ports Corporation visited the central workshop to see the progress of its work, in addition to review the maintenance work of bridge cranes and berths.
