SANA'A November 30. 2023 (Saba)-Lahj Governor , Ahmed Hamoud Jarib, confirmed that the 56th anniversary of the evacuation of the British colonizers from the south of the country on November 30 is a dear and precious occasion to draw inspiration from lessons, in making huge sacrifices to defeat the new occupier from the southern provinces.
Governor Juraib indicated in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that this anniversary comes while a precious part of the country is under the weight of the absurd occupation, which is attacking with all hatred and cowardice the united body of Yemen, harming its wealth and capabilities.
He pointed out that the British occupier perched on the homeland's soil for 129 years and made the Yemenis' lives at his disposal after plundering their abilities , wealth, depriving them of their freedom and dignity. However, with strength , determination and with great sacrifices and continuous struggle, they were able to rise up against him and regain their independence on November 30, 1967 AD.
Governor Juraib stated that this anniversary comes today in light of the bitter conditions and humanitarian tragedy that the southern and eastern provinces have been witnessing, occupied for eight years, and living the reality that our fathers and grandfathers lived about 60 years ago, as a result of the ambitions of the invaders and occupiers in their strategic locations, wealth throughout ancient and contemporary history.
