LONDON November 12. 2023 (Saba) - London police detained nearly 120 activists during a rally hosted by the British capital in support of Palestine, the police said, noting that nine of their personnel were injured because of "riot".
According to police estimates, about 300,000 Brits took to streets in a massive pro-Palestine rally in protest of Zionist carnages against civilians in Gaza Strip, local media said, though al-Mayadeen quoted organizers as saying that one million took part in the rally.
Following calls for this rally - the fourth of its kind in London - British authorities said some 2,000 policemen had been mobilized across the UK.
While it was peaceful, the previous rally witnessed more than 100 arrests, with the detainees charged of showing support to the Palestinian resistance.
