GAZA November 12. 2023 (Saba) - The Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced on the previous day that Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City had been discharged from service and had ceased to operate in full; due to fuel depletion and power outages, due to deliberate targeting by the Zionist enemy army.
According to the Palestinian Media Center, the Association said in a statement: "Medical staff are now doing their utmost to provide medical care to the sick and wounded, even by traditional methods, amid poor humanitarian conditions inside the hospital, and lack of medical supplies, food and water.
Despite the Assembly's repeated appeals to the international community and humanitarian institutions to deliver urgent assistance to the Al-Quds Hospital, amid the siege imposed about a week ago, as well as the interruption of communications and the Internet for the fifth day in succession, all organizations had failed to provide assistance to the Hospital.
The international community and all States signatories to the Fourth Geneva Convention have taken responsibility for the complete collapse of the health system and for the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the sector.
It reiterated its appeal to international bodies and organizations working in the health and relief sector to urgently introduce the necessary assistance and needs for the governorates of Gaza and the North to save the remaining viability of health-care services and enhance the resilience of the remaining hospitals.
Zionist enemy forces continue their incursion into the two governorates, working to separate the southern sector from its north, preventing ambulances from approaching incursions and targeting anyone who tries to move there, resulting in the presence of a large number of martyrs' bodies lying on the road.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza had previously announced the discharge of 22 of Gaza's 35 hospitals, as well as the cessation of dozens of health-care centres, as well as about 200 medical personnel were martyred in enemy army bombing in the Gaza Strip.
