BEIJING October 14.2023 (Saba) - The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, announced today, Saturday, that the call of the Zionist occupation entity to evacuate more than a million Palestinians from the northern Gaza Strip within one day is “absolutely impossible to implement.”
Borrell said, during a press conference held today, Saturday, after the conclusion of his visit to China, “I say, as a representative of the official position of the European Union... that (the evacuation operation) is completely impossible to implement.
He added, "Imagining the possibility of transferring a million people in 24 hours in a situation like Gaza can only lead to a humanitarian crisis."
Borrell considered that the only viable strategy in the long term to find a solution to the "cycle of violence" is the establishment of an independent and internationally recognized Palestinian state.
After a series of high-level talks with Chinese officials, he said, “The European Union and China agree that the only long-term solution to these successive crises...is to work on a two-state solution.”
He added, "We agreed that the international community must do everything possible to prevent further deterioration that may spread in the region."
