BAGHDAD April 28. 2024 (Saba) - Harakat al-Nujaba warned the United States against interfering in Iraqi affairs, and praised the House of Representatives, which voted for a law criminalizing immoral acts, which contradicts religion, culture and the interests of the Iraqi people.
The Political Council of the Iraqi Islamic Resistance "Al-Nujaba" condemned, in a statement, the interventionist position of the US embassy in opposing the vote of the Iraqi parliament against the criminalization of homosexuality and immoral acts and said: "It has reached the point that the evil American ambassador openly and brazenly threatens our government with economic sanctions, there the United States of America itself must first implement its claims of human rights and freedom of expression and stop suppressing students in American universities who protest its colonial approach in the world, the region and in Gaza Strip.
"The Zionist entity is committing the most heinous crimes against innocent people trapped in Gaza, and America, a permanent member of the Security Council, must respect the resolutions of the international community instead of supporting that usurping entity," he said.
Harakat al-Nujaba of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq supported the decision of the House of Representatives, which came in accordance with the will of the Iraqi people, praising "the decision of the brothers who voted in favor of this plan."
The movement warned some politicians and members of the Iraqi parliament who still have good intentions towards America, saying: "Let them know that America, with its political orientations, seeks to collapse societies, destroy families, and confront the constants of Islam and its authentic culture, which is one of the most important privileges of the authentic Iraqi people."
