Two Palestinian prisoners continue their hunger strike for 45th day in row
[16/September/2023]

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS September 16. 2023 (Saba) - Two Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons continued their open hunger strike on Saturday in protest against their arbitrary and administrative detention in light of the deterioration of their health.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said that the health condition of the striking prisoners, Sultan Khallouf and Kayed Al-Fasfous, has been deteriorating over time, and despite this, the prison administration has not responded to any of their demands.

The club added that the prisoner Khalouf (42 years old) from the town of Burqin, west of Jenin, who has been on a hunger strike for 45 days in rejection of his administrative detention, faces a continuous deterioration in his health condition as he is detained in a cell “in the Ramle prison clinic.”

According to the club, the prisoner, Al-Fafsous, from Dura in Hebron (34 years old), has been on strike for 45 days and has been detained since May2.

Al-Fafsous is a former prisoner who spent about 7 years in enemy prisons and went on a hunger strike at the end of May and the beginning of June for 9 days. He also went on strike in 2021 against his administrative detention, which lasted for 131 days in 2019, while he was detained in Negev cells.
