MOGADISHU September 14. 2023 (Saba) - About 30 members of the terrorist al-Shabaab militia were killed in a military operation by Somali army forces in the Galmudug regional state in the center of the country.

The Somali News Agency quoted a statement from the Somali Ministry of Information saying, “This operation comes at a time when the armed forces, in cooperation with the popular resistance, have intensified their operations against Al-Shabaab militias in areas of southern and central Somalia.”

The statement indicated that the Somali army, during the military operations it carried out in cooperation with the popular resistance and international partners, was able to undermine the capabilities of al-Shabaab militias and liberate more than 80 cities and regions in the country.
