TEHRAN Sep. 07. 2023 (Saba) - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani has expressed that Iran's rejection of what was stated in the joint statement issued by the third meeting of the Arab-Japanese political dialogue on the three Iranian islands.
The Iranian news agency (IRNA) quoted Kanaani as saying in a statement in response to the joint statement issued by the third meeting of the Arab-Japanese political dialogue in Cairo, in which the issue of the three Iranian islands was mentioned the three islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb are an integral part. It is inseparable and eternal from the soil of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and mentioning it in the final statement of the aforementioned meeting lacks any political and legal value.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman categorically refused to address the three Iranian islands in the aforementioned statement, considering it to be in violation of the rules of international law, including the principle of non-interference in internal affairs and respect for the territorial integrity of countries.
