BEIRUT July 25. 2023 (Saba) - Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah affirmed on Tuesday that the war against awareness, understanding and convictions has existed since the beginning of creation, stressing that it is now more dangerous than ever.
Sayyed Nasrallah said this type of battle was based on the peoples of the region claiming that the Zionist enemy’s army is undefeated, especially after the Arab armies were defeated, and the matter was translated as a fait accompli, and that restoring the lands occupied in 1948 is impossible, and we must talk about the lands of 1967.
He pointed out that when consciousness is "distorted", a new conviction is formed that leads to a new behavior.
Sayyed Nasrallah explained that in 1982, when the Zionist enemy invaded Lebanon and entered Beirut, there was a Lebanese generation that had the conviction and belief that this army could be defeated.
He added "Our conviction was translated into field resistance that defeated the enemy in 1985, and continued until the great defeat in 2000, and the transformation of this army in the Arab world into an indomitable army."
Sayyed Nasrallah continued "By relying on Allah, resistance, steadfastness and enduring prisons and detention centers, the resistance in Lebanon was able to defeat the enemy and changed the awareness and conviction of many peoples."
He pointed out that after 2000, awareness changed in our Arab world and in the entity of the Zionist enemy, so the settlers began to live successive crises, leading to what they are witnessing today on the road to collapse, stressing that the enemy these days is living its worst days.
Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that the intellectual and media war is more severe and more dangerous than other military and economic wars, because it targets the human mind, awareness, convictions, and everything that shapes his behavior and position.
He also pointed out that "the tools of this battle are different, including the media, the Internet, books, universities, dissertations, etc., and we are waging the battle in all its arenas, and this is one of the arenas."
Sayyed Nasrallah said "The people of falsehood have always worked to prevent the people of truth from communicating their voice and their logic to others. For example, there are thousands of satellite channels available, but there are certain channels that are blocked, such as Al-Manar channel, and websites are crossed out.. Even on the means of communication there are words that are forbidden to be used."
He added "The people of falsehood work to hide facts from people, obscure them, and change them, so that the resistance becomes a terrorist, and the enemy entity becomes a democratic entity that takes care of human rights in Palestine," pointing out that the United States of America is the most country in the world during the 200 years that waged wars and committed massacres, and it is the largest criminal in the current era, and it claims to be a sponsor of peace and a demand for human rights.
Sayyed Nasrallah cited an example of overturning the facts and spreading rumors and accusations, the news reports that were circulated about accusations against Hezbollah of what is a lie, regarding the port explosion.
He said while people were collecting the remains of the martyrs, they began accusing the resistance weapon that brought pride and dignity to Lebanon, that it was the one who blew up the port of Beirut.
Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out that the promises made by the United States to the Palestinians in the Oslo Accords are another example of the deceptive and false American and Zionist promises.
He continue "in Lebanon, they tried to deceive the people that their problem is with the resistance, and that if they abandon it, their conditions will improve, and their economy will flourish, “And if they abandoned the resistance, we would lose everything .. But people did not abandon the resistance despite the economic and living calamities since 2019, and the resistance environment remained stable and solid .. Look today at Ashura in all regions and the presence of hosts that are not funded by Hezbollah, but by people, and that is a result of faith."
Sayyed Nasrallah warned that "the minds of our young men and women and our families are being targeted, and we all have a responsibility to be aware of our affairs, and we have convictions based on foundations, and we have logic and evidence, and therefore for 40 years they have not been able to harm us."
He said "our commitment to our resistance and our religion is sometimes a tradition that we inherited from our fathers, and sometimes it is enthusiasm and passion, and sometimes it is a result of faith and belief that proves within us, especially in Muharram, and we must strengthen this faith."
Sayyed Nasrallah also stressed the necessity of fortifying our society through clarification, especially in our environment that belongs to the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUH) school, adding "We must scrutinize everything that is presented, and that we reject suspicions and not ignore them."
At the same time, He warned that we should be partners in spreading lies and spreading rumors targeting our environment.
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah concluded his speech by saying: "In the war on awareness, we must attack like armed resistance and show the crimes of America and" Israel "with facts, evidence and proofs.. and during the battle of awareness we must be patient and steadfast because by doing so we can create a different awareness, pointing out that among the fields in which Hussein's blood triumphed over the sword is the battle of awareness, and this is everyone's responsibility."
