SANA'A May 29. 2023 (Saba) - The Supreme Judicial Council held its periodic meeting on Monday, headed by head of the Council, Judge Ahmed Yahya al-Mutawakel, approving the establishment of a primary public funds prosecution in Sa'ada province.
The council reviewed the report of the head of the Judicial Inspection Authority regarding the implementation of the third and final phase of the year 1444 AH, of the annual periodic inspection plan, and the field committees' undertaking inspection, follow-up and evaluation tasks for court judges in the capital's Sana'a and the rest of the provinces.
The Council stresed the importance of carrying out tasks in following-up and monitoring on an ongoing basis and reporting to the Council the results of the work of the committees.
It agreed to assign jurisdiction over serious and non-serious criminal cases falling within the jurisdiction of Jabal Ras Primary Court to the al-Jarrahi Primary Court in Hodeida province at the request of the head of the Judicial Inspection Authority.
