SANA'A, October 31.2022 (Saba) - The capital, Sana 'a, witnessed Monday the third and largest collective wedding in the region, organized by the General Authority of Zakat, for 10,000, 44 groom and bride.
At the ceremony, which was attended by members of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, Mohammed Salih al-Nuaimi and Jaber al-Wahbani and Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtour President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Ahmed Yahya Al-Mutawakel and Director of the Office of the President of the Republic, Ahmed Hamed, Safr Al-Sufi, Director of the Revolutionary Commander's Office, Yemeni Mufti, scholar Shams Al-Din Sharafuddin blessed grooms with their marriage on this joyous day.
He said: "This blessed day, which demonstrates the keenness of the revolutionary leadership represented by the leader of the revolution, Sayyed. Abdulmalek Badruddin Al-Houthi, which has paid much attention to the poor and the needy, and always focuses on this aspect.
He added: "Consideration of the vulnerable, the poor and the needy is a priority, which should be considered, who seeks to fill people's needs and draw joy in their faces is in this charitable act exposing himself to God's mercy, which we should touch in many government departments.
Scholar Sarafuddin confirmed that "Addressing people's need to facilitate their affairs and transactions and to ensure their status and dignity; in view of the fact that people are equal to God".
He called on decision makers, local authorities, elders and seniors to seek charters and contracts to reduce dowry overreach.
Yemen's Mufti al-Dayyar said: "Experience has shown that people are striving to do so and that they will be able to reduce overreach, they will also be able to address people's needs, especially what the nation going through the so-called soft war, in which the enemy uses all its means in order to seduce and divert people from the course of their religion and the Sunna of the Holy Prophet peace be upon him".
He added: "Our religion invites us to take account of an important matter: morality and religion, as the prophet urged in his talk to marry.
The scholar Sharafuddin stated that the Holy Prophet (prayer and peace be upon him) put the solution and diagnosed medicine for each matter. Noting that the immunization of young people and girls is a social and humanitarian issue that should be considered, marriage is the best way to build a family and a coherent society based on purity, compassion, pride and dignity.
At the mass ceremony, which was attended by the Adviser to the President of the Supreme Political Council, scholar Mohammed Muftah, ministers and members of the House of Representatives and the Shura, the President of the General Authority of Zakat, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashtan, congrats the grooms with their wedding in the largest collective wedding in Yemen, which includes 10 thousand 44 grooms and brides from various provinces.
He said: "There is joy and happiness in the hearts of tens of thousands groom's families, and millions of Yemenis in various regions, villages and districts, which a constellation of young men and women celebrate to realize their dream and complete half their religion ".
He added: "This historic day Yemen has not witnessed such collective weddings, which were a dream, God achieve it under exceptional circumstances in Yemen as a result of aggression and siege, to increase us pride, strength and glory".
Abu Nashtan pointed out that the festival of the collective wedding, repeated for the third year with this momentum, to fortify a constellation of Yemen's youth under the auspices, under the patronage and support of the leader of the revolution, Sayyed. Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi, President and members of the Supreme Political President and members of the Salvation Government.
He urged the grooms to be at the level of responsibility to build a coherent and productive family in society serving the homeland. He said: "Today we are launching group wedding events in the capital Sana 'a, and collective weddings will begin in the rest of the governorates from next Wednesday.
The head of the Zakat Authority considered the Collective Wedding Project to be one of the 17 projects launched by the Authority on the occasion of the anniversary of the holy Prophet, the cost exceeded 10 billion and 350 million riyals.
He valued the role of finance, business, merchants, owners and obligors to pay their zakat money, which through their sincerity and payment of their zakat, the Commission has launched dozens of projects according to the legitimate zakat banks.
Abu Nashtan stated that the establishment of the Zakat Authority and its launch of dozens of projects are the result of the revolution of September 21. Call for continued cooperation with the Zakat Authority through the payment of zakat in the framework of cooperation and solidarity to implement more projects which is in the interest of the poor and which dispenses them with the question.
Zakat's projects had diversified in various areas to take care of the poor, especially in their food, drink, clothing, housing, health, etc. The Group Wedding Project represents one aspect of the Zakat Authority's interests, whose projects have varied between zakat in kind, cash and medical camps, relief for the debtors and the displaced persons and provide food baskets for them, and other therapeutic assistance and centres for intractable diseases and psychiatric conditions, supporting bakeries and charity kitchens and contributing to reconstruction, weddings and economic empowerment projects.
The President of the General Authority of Zakat announced the Authority launch, in the coming days, of the economic empowerment project for 600 poor youth in the Capital Secretariat, another 600 were in Hodeidah governorate, along with other projects such as the release of the insolvents, debtors and other social projects.
It was presented during the collective wedding festival attended by the President of the Public Authority of Endowments attended by the Chairman of the General Authority of Endowments Scholar Abdul-Majid Al-Houthi and Civilian, Military and security leaders, Poem by the poet Abdulaziz Radhamani entitled "Third pillar", an operative singing and paragraphs of popular heritage, accompanied by Zawamel, the team of the Ministry of Culture with the participation of a constellation of grooms.
