SANA'A, October 21.2022 (Saba) - Yemen Petroleum Company (YPC) said on Thursday the aggression coalition detained a new fuel vessel and prevented it from reaching the port of Hodeida despite being inspected and obtaining international entry permits, the number of vessels detained was increased to three.
In a statement received by the SABA, the company explained that the US Saudi-led aggression coalition had detained the "Lady Sarah" gas vessel. It was denied access to the port of Hodeida despite its inspection in Djibouti and obtained the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism's (UNIVM) permits.
By detaining this vessel, the number of vessels currently detained by the Aggression Coalition had risen to three, including two gasoline vessels "Emprius" and Diesel "Brikles", pointed to the continuation of the piracy series by the US-led Aggression Coalition.
The statement held the United Nations and the forces of the Aggression Coalition the responsible for the humanitarian and economic repercussions of those flagrant violations.
The company was considered by the United Nations to be a partner of the Aggression in Piracy on Fuel Vessels, being the one who heads ships to the point of detention and the place of piracy of the aggression coalition.
