SANA'A, Sep. 17 (Saba) - The Yemen Executive Mine Action Centre (YEMAC) stated on Saturday that the mines and cluster bombs left over by the aggression have caused at least 324 civilian victims since the beginning of the truce on April 2.
In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center confirmed that 108 civilians have been killed and 216 injured as a result of the aggression's mines, cluster bombs and other explosive remnants of war since the beginning of the armistice.
YEMAC pointed to the increase in casualties as a result of war explosive remnants due to the wide scope of the planted area and the return of the displaced people to their areas.
The Center renewed the call for providing mine detectors and the necessary supplies for the center to be capable of carrying out its activities to clear mines and cluster bombs.
According to the center, the cluster bombs have caused more victims, as the air raids spread them in vast areas leading to 18 civilians killed and 57 wounded.
