YPC renews demand to prevent piracy on fuel ships, abide by terms of armistice

SANA'A, Sep. 11 (Saba) - The Yemeni Petroleum Company renewed on Sunday its call on the aggression and the United Nations to prevent piracy on fuel ships and not to impound them in the future and to allow their smooth smooth entry into Yemen.

YPC Official spokesman Issam al-Mutawakil said that four fuel ships, including two petrol ships and two diesel ships, arrived Sunday at the port of Hodeida after being detained for several days, resulting burdens on the Yemeni people.

Al-Mutawakil called on the aggression, led by America and the United Nations, not to interfere with and detain fuel ships, and to allow them to enter Hodeida port smoothly.

He said, "We demand the United Nations to abide by the provisions of the temporary truce and to obligate the aggression to stop piracy on fuel ships and prevent their detention in the future, which contributes to alleviating the suffering of citizens."

He pointed out that another fuel vessel is still being held by the aggression, despite obtaining entry permits from the United Nations.
