Shura Council condemns murder of Yemeni citizens in Sa’ada
[13/May/2022]

SANA’A, May 13 (Saba) - The Shura Council strongly condemned on Friday the heinous crime committed by the Saudi Border Guard forces against 25 Yemeni citizens in Al-Raqo area in the border district of Munabeh in Sa'ada province, which resulted in the death of seven citizens, in an initial toll.

In a statement issued today, the Council condemned the brutal acts that the Saudi border guards deliberately committed against Yemenis by exposing them to torture and electrocution to death.

The Council considered the successive crimes of the Saudi regime against the Yemeni people, revealing the extent of its ugliness, its dehumanization, and its flagrant violations of the international and humanitarian covenants.

The statement held the United Nations and its affiliated organizations criminally and legally responsible for their shameful silence in the face of the crimes of murder, destruction and siege against the Yemeni people by the Saudi regime.

The Shura Council’s statement called on the international organizations and the Human Rights Council to condemn this crime and refer its perpetrators and all perpetrators of other crimes of the aggression coalition to the International Criminal Court.

In its statement, the Shura Council deplored the shameful Arab, Islamic and international silence regarding the crimes of the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people and Islamic sanctities.

The statement condemned the Zionist enemy's targeting of the Palestinian people and journalists, the latest of which was the assassination of journalist Sherine Abu Aqleh and the storming of Jenin camp and wounding more than 13 Palestinians.

The Shura Council praised the role of the Palestinian resistance in deterring the Zionist enemy.
