SANA'A, Mar. 09 (Saba) - President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al- Mashat met on Wednesday with head of the General Authority for Lands, Surveys and Urban Planning Hashem al-Shami.
In the meeting, al-Mashat and al-Shami discussed the progress of the General Authority's work, the steps it has taken in the field of urban planning, the difficulties it faces and its plan for the current year.
President al-Mashat directed the Land Authority to quickly complete urban planning in all provinces to overcome the problems that occurred during the past periods as a result of random construction.
He stressed the importance of focusing on preparing lands for agricultural, industrial and tourism investment in a way that contributes to supporting the national economy, achieving self-sufficiency and providing job opportunities.
President al-Mashat stressed the importance of registering all the lands that belong to the state and citizens, urging to cooperate with Awqaf Authority in registering endowment lands.
He directed to update the regulations of the General Authority in a way that achieves the public interest of the country and the citizens.
