SANA'A, Nov. 21 (Saba) - Member of the Supreme Political Council (SPC) Mohammad al-Houthi, on Saturday commented on the statement of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Yemen.
Al-Houthi affirmed that the UN statement was positive and drew the world's attention to the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the blockade imposed by the US-backed Saudi-led coalition on Yemen.
He called on Guterres to condemn and lift the blockade that violates all the international principles and laws.
He called for a joint meeting with the international organizations' officials to study the economic allegedly obstacles and find appropriate solutions.
He pointed out that the deterioration of the Yemeni economy and the national currency have been a result of the failure of the coalition countries and Hadi to fulfill their obligations.
Al-Houthi indicated to the obligations made when the Security Council's has approved the transfer of the Central Bank from Sana'a to Aden.
He blamed the UN and the Security Council for the national economy deterioration and salary suspension.
