SANAA, Dec. 22 (SABA) - Prime Minister Abdul Aziz Saleh bin Habtour met on Sunday in Sanaa Chef of the Rehabilitation and Reform Department, Major General Abdullah Mohammed Al-Hadi.
In the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Affairs Major General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan and Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ghazi Ahmad Ali, the situation in the Rehabilitation Department and the difficulties which face it.
He referred to the war and economic blockade imposed on the country by the Saudi-Saudi aggression coalition.
The meeting also tackled the complementary relations with ministries, rehabilitation and reform authority in the capital and provinces, and supporting their activities and programs towards prisoners, including aspects of education, vocational and technical training, health care and other basic services.
The Prime Minister praised the efforts exerted by the Rehabilitation and Reform Department to deal with prison conditions and enhance their reform and rehabilitation role and to provide them with the necessary conditions and facilities to discharge their positive potential and benefit their society after their prison term ends.
He stressed the keenness of the government to support the rehabilitation and all penitentiary in accordance with the possibilities currently available, pointing to the importance of international support by the relevant international organizations to the programs of the rehabilitation department and to help them meet their basic obligations and implement their vision to achieve the strength of the rehabilitation role played in various penitentiary.
