The Pakistani army announced on Thursday the deaths of three soldiers and four militants in an explosive device explosion in the southwestern province of Balochistan.
Pakistani media quoted an army statement as saying that militants targeted a security forces vehicle with an improvised explosive device, killing three soldiers and four militants.
Pakistani forces have been continuing their efforts for years to eliminate armed groups entrenched along its mountainous borders and launching occasional attacks against security forces and civilians.
