Geneva - Saba:
A number of international delegations walked out of the Inter-Parliamentary Union conference hall in Geneva during Israeli Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana's speech, in protest against what was seen as a justification for Israel's war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
As soon as Ohana began his speech, in which he defended Israeli military operations and accused Hamas of using civilians as human shields, representatives from dozens of parliaments, particularly from Latin American, Asian, and African countries, walked out in a clear expression of their rejection of Israeli policies against Palestinian civilians, according to the Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper.
