Ramallah - Saba:

A general strike has spread through the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah, in mourning for the martyr Khamis Ayyad, who was killed during an attack by Zionist settler militias and the Israeli army on the town early Thursday morning.

Khamis Ayyad, from the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah, died as a result of suffocation from toxic gas fired by Israeli forces into his home during a raid on the town last night.

In a dangerous escalation of settler violence, settlers launched simultaneous attacks on the towns of Silwad, Rammun, and Abu Falah, east of Ramallah, under the protection of Israeli forces. They set fire to Palestinian vehicles and homes, causing significant material damage to their property.

The Palestinian Safa News Agency reported, citing eyewitnesses, that the attacks were accompanied by heavy firing of tear gas and live ammunition

These attacks come in the context of an escalating wave of settler violence against Palestinians in various areas of the West Bank. There have been widespread Palestinian calls to escalate confrontation and resistance against settler terrorism, which has left no one untouched in the West Bank.

Settlers have escalated their attacks and assaults on West Bank residents, including the burning of homes and vehicles and the killing and wounding of a number of citizens.

Institutions monitoring settler attacks have documented approximately 1,400 attacks and assaults in the West Bank since the beginning of the year.

According to the data, settlers have killed seven Palestinian citizens with gunfire, beatings, and knife attacks in the West Bank since the beginning of the year.

Since the beginning of the war of extermination in the Gaza Strip, 29 Palestinian citizens have been killed in attacks carried out by settlers in the West Bank.

In addition to the attacks, settlers have established 29 new settlement outposts on West Bank lands since the beginning of the year.
