The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority announced on Wednesday that the number of detainees in Israeli occupation prisons has exceeded 10,800 as of early July.
The Authority clarified that this figure does not include detainees held in camps affiliated with the Zionist occupation army. Among the detainees are 48 female prisoners and over 440 children. Additionally, more than 3,600 administrative detainees are being held without charge or trial, according to the Palestinian Information Center.
The report also noted that among the prisoners are 2,454 detainees from Gaza, classified by the Israeli prison administration as "unlawful combatants."
With American and European support, the Israeli occupation army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. These atrocities have resulted in the martyrdom of 60,138 Palestinian civilians, most of whom are children and women, and the injury of 146,269 others—figures that remain non-final, as thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble or in inaccessible areas, beyond the reach of rescue and medical teams.
