Gaza – Saba:
40 Palestinian civilians were martyred and dozens were injured on Wednesday evening when the Zionist enemy forces opened fire on starving aid seekers in the "Zakim area" north of the Gaza Strip.

Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, stated in a video message: "There is a large number of martyrs, exceeding 40, and all Gaza hospitals are overwhelmed with the wounded arriving from the Zakim area."

He explained that the Zionist enemy targeted civilians in Zakim, the area where aid trucks enter, and is systematically shooting at civilians there, according to the Anadolu Agency.

Basal added, “We are facing a real massacre,” confirming that several missing individuals remain unaccounted for at this moment.

He noted that a significant number of victims are still at the targeting site, and rescue teams have been unable to reach them due to the dangerous field conditions.

The spokesperson called on the international community to "shoulder its responsibilities and end the policy of starvation affecting every citizen in Gaza," stressing that "the Zionist enemy is killing anyone searching for food."

Basal further stated that "the reception departments in Gaza’s hospitals can no longer handle this volume of casualties, including extremely critical cases," demanding that "humanitarian aid must be distributed safely, and the policy of killing civilians must stop."

With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit genocidal crimes in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 60,138 Palestinian civilians—mostly children and women—and the injury of 146,269 others, as of today. This toll remains non-final, as thousands of victims are still trapped under rubble or in the streets, unreachable by rescue and medical teams.
