London - Saba:

Coach Pep Guardiola has surpassed €2 billion in total transfer spending, following the €27 million signing of goalkeeper James Trafford from Burnley.

This makes Pep Guardiola the first coach in football history to have spent more.

Guardiola's transfer spending reached €2.02 billion, far outstripping his closest rivals.

This massive amount was spread across his coaching tenures with Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City.

The top-spending coaches are as follows:

1. Pep Guardiola - €2.02 billion

2. Diego Simeone - €1.31 billion

3. Massimiliano Allegri - €1.2 billion

4. Thomas Tuchel - €1.19 billion

5. Antonio Conte - €1.16 billion
